Overview of Inventory System

The Purchases System contains an efficient and advanced inventory system that allows you to track your inventory items and quantities and produce reports that help you manage your inventory at any point in time and from a historical perspective. 

The Manage Inventory function allows you to view information about your inventory items, enter new inventory items, or update existing items. The Inventory Form allows you to record information about your products such as descriptions, prices, quantities, serial numbers and even lets you build assemblies known as kitting.  Both the Sales and Purchases systems use the inventory functions extensively. If you are using the Perpetual Inventory method,  Purchase Order receipts increase inventory quantities, while Sales Orders shipments decrease inventory quantities.
